Brian is a graduating senior at Berkeley with an intended major in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, and an intended minor in Classics (Latin). He is from sunny, southern California and enjoys all things aquatic, whether it be surfing, swimming in a pool, swimming in the ocean, playing water polo, or luging down the slip and slide. He works for Recreational Sports in the Aquatics Department as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Upon graduating, Brian intends to work in a Multiple Sclerosis research laboratory before pursuing a higher degree. Brian spends most of his time swimming, watching movies, or playing video games, particularly Assassins' Creed and NBA 2K13.
Liliana is a junior at UC Berkeley who is majoring in Physics. She is passionate about understanding the universe and searching for answers to the most pressing questions facing humanity. Liliana also enjoys philosophy, metaphysics, quantum information systems, debates and meditation. Currently, Liliana works at the Center for Energy Efficient Electronic Sciences and aids in research and outreach. Liliana plans on attending graduate school and continuing her studies in physics, possibly conducting research on the the biophysics of the human brain.
Nikki is a junior at the University of California at Berkeley. She is a Psychology major, and intends on continuing her studies in Psychology in graduate school. She wishes to pursue research in Personality Theory and Behavior while in graduate school. Along with her passion for Psychology, Nikki is involved with numerous extra-curricular activities including being an events coordinator for BARE Magazine, a student run fashion and lifestyle magazine, being a chair for the Iranian Student Cultural Organization which brings together Iranians, and Middle Easterners alike, and holding an internship with YBR Promotions, a music promotion company based in San Francisco. She likes to spend her free time trying new restaurants and going to concerts.
Sahar is a second year undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She is currently an intern for Qualcomm (known for its cell phone modems and processors) working on Blu-Ray and audio playback. Sahar is also a project lead in a student organization called Pioneers in Engineering, which hosts a robotics competition for East Bay high school students in order to inspire them to pursue an education in engineering. Her team works on some of the most vital electronics for their robots. She plans on earning her master's degree in Electrical Engineering and then start a career in the computer industry. Sahar is also an avid video gamer, and spends most of her spare time playing The Legend of Zelda and Assassin's Creed.
